Withrow students are given many opportunities to use educational technology to enhance their learning experiences. We have iPads available at every grade level that offer dozens of engaging educational apps. We continue to update and add technology throughout the year. In addition, students engage with digital curriculum often. Much of the district supported curriculum is accessed online. Programs such as
Go Math,
Lexia Reading,
Imagine Learning, and
Read 180 are web-based and students utilize iPads and desktop computers to complete assignments daily. Such programs provide students with personalized learning experiences, immediate feedback, and instruction that is tailored to meet their specific learning needs. Teachers are also able to access data immediately that helps them to design future assignments and drive instruction.
Below is a list of the apps used at Withrow Elementary and across LEUSD. You can also find them
here. Many of these apps are free and can be downloaded onto devices at home. We encourage students to explore these apps as they are great learning tools!
Student safety online is a top priority. To learn more about digital safety at LEUSD, please visit the district web page on Digital Citizenship
